Gaadio — Privacy Policy
Gaadio does not collect any data. There is no account, no server, and no analytics. Everything you enter stays in the app's private storage on your own device.
What Gaadio stores, and where
Gaadio keeps a log of your vehicles, fuel fill-ups, service records and document expiry dates. Depending on what you choose to enter, that can include:
- Vehicle details — nickname, make, model, year and registration number
- Fuel entries — date, quantity, price, odometer reading, fuel station name and notes
- Service records — date, garage name, amount, odometer reading and notes
- Documents — insurance, PUC, fitness and road tax details, including provider and policy number
- Photos you attach, such as receipts, bills or certificates
All of this is written to a database inside the app's own private storage on your phone. It is not uploaded anywhere, and nobody else — including the developer — can see it.
What Gaadio does not do
- No account, sign-in or registration
- No servers — the app has no backend to send anything to
- No analytics, tracking, advertising or crash-reporting services
- No third-party SDK that collects information about you
- No selling or sharing of information, because none is gathered in the first place
Permissions
- Notifications — to remind you before a document expires or a service falls due. Reminders are generated and shown entirely on your device; nothing is sent through a server, and the app never asks until you have created your first reminder.
- Camera and photos — only if you choose to attach a picture of a receipt, bill or certificate. The photo is copied into the app's private storage so it survives you clearing your gallery. Gaadio does not read your photo library otherwise.
Backups you create
Gaadio can export your records to a file so you do not lose them when changing phones. That export is always something you start. Once you pick a destination in the system share sheet — cloud storage, a messaging app, or anywhere else — the file is governed by that service's privacy policy, not this one. Store it somewhere you trust; it contains your full vehicle history.
Device backups
If you have your phone's own backup turned on, Android and iOS may include Gaadio's data in it, in the same way they do for other apps. That backup is handled by Google or Apple under their terms, and Gaadio has no access to it.
Links to other websites
Some screens offer a link to renew a document, which opens your browser at a government or insurance website — for example the Parivahan portal. Gaadio passes no information to those sites; it opens their public page and nothing more. Once you leave the app, the privacy policy of that website applies.
Children
Gaadio is a vehicle record keeper intended for vehicle owners. It is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling Gaadio removes its database and every attached photo from your device. Because nothing was ever transmitted, there is no copy elsewhere for anyone to delete. Individual records can be deleted inside the app at any time.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of Gaadio adds an optional feature that does transmit data — synchronising between your own devices is the one under consideration — this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the feature will be something you switch on rather than something enabled by default.
